UK electronic act R I T U A L have been around for a little while now and refreshingly, for a "mystery" band at least, they still show absolutely no sign of revealing their identity. Perhaps, for the first time in a post-Jungle world, this band actually want to stay in the shadows and let their music speak for itself. 'Too Deep' is the latest in their series of collaborations with stellar vocalists; 'Josephine' borrowed the excellent Lisa Hannigan, and now this one features R&B talent, Delilah. It follows the blueprint of R I T U A L's music making, with sticky drum machine beats slinking into richly textured synth loops and typically dreamy guest vocals. Somehow, this lot are sounding more enigmatic and alluring than ever before. - DC
